About & Me

I am a classically trained musician, with formal tuition in piano, bassoon, singing and composition.

I believe that everyone has the right to participation in music and the arts. I have enjoyed working with a diverse range of people on a variety of projects from singing with elderly residents in Extra Care homes, to directing Youth Theatre productions; from leading musical play sessions, to runnning and composing for community orchestras.

My commitment to sharing my enthusiasm for music and the arts with others is evidenced by my work. I deliver a range of creative music projects including composition, singing, music theatre, cultural diversity, world music and chamber and orchestral performance. I also deliver cross-curricular projects using music to support the development of skills in other subject areas. I particularly enjoy collaborating on multi-disciplinary arts projects.

Mid Penine Arts, Creative Partnerships, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, The Cobweb Orchestra, University of York, Wear Valley District Council & City of York Council, as well as numerous schools and community groups.
