Catherine Holbrook - Music Projects & Workshops

Catherine has over 20 years of musical training and has been delivering workshops for a diverse range of school and community groups since 2003. Catherine is also experienced in training artists and teachers in working creatively with music.

Catherine has delivered:

professional development training for early years workers and teachers for City of York Council
workshops & lectures on the MA in Community Music at the University of York
INSET as part her work on Creative Partnerships projects

The potential for INSET training is embedded in all of Catherine's schools projects by design, giving staff ideas that they can go on to use in their own work.

You can be involved in the planning of the sessions and you and your colleagues will be able to choose whether you'd like to:

observe, support and participate in the session
co-lead some activities while Catherine can support you as you experiment with new ideas.

However involved you decide to get during the session itself, people usually find it helpful to have a short reflective discussion after the session.

A session of up to 20mins is included in the overall fee. This allows for discuss about how the session went, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to consider how ideas can be developed and incorporated into your own work.
