The Cobweb Orchestra
I have a long-standing association with The Cobweb Orchestra.
I set up and currently run the York branch of the orchestra.
I also lead study days, conduct concerts (including family concerts), and perform with the bassoon. I also compose and orchestrate specially for the orchestra.

Gingery Boy: A story with music
A collaborative project exploring musical responses to the Shoofly story: Gingery Boy.
The project culminated in a performance where the children involved performed alongside professional musicians.A recording of the work is also available. A Creative Partnerships Project, involving KS 2 children from schools in the North East. |

Gamelan Workshops
Workshops with a wide range of groups including KS1, University of York’s Higher Education Summer School, non-English speaking children from Chernobyl, University of Sheffield Ethnomusicology MA programme, and leading ‘Workshopping with the Gamelan’ sessions on the Community Music MA at University of York.

Music tutor on a Music Technology project for adult offenders on a drug rehabilitation scheme.
Teaching keyboard skills and music theory to support and develop electronic composition skills. The project also included coaching and performing with the prison rock band |

A Musical Environment
A 12-month music project exploring environmental themes and culminating in performances for World Environment Day and in York Carnival 2004.
The project comprised of workshops in Nature Reserves around York and a 4-month residency at St. Nicholas Field's Environment Centre. For Running Wild, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's youth programme. |
Rhythm & Drumming Workshops
Rhythm-based workshops appear can appear in a number of different guises. Various projects have included sessions exploring body percussion, rhythmic improvisation & composition, samba drumming, and rhythm & movement. |
